Shipping is free of charge throughout Austria (with the exception of Apple products), self-collection is also possible for Lenovo and Apple.

u:book goes green: Das neue Nachhaltigkeits-Label

Zum 15. Jubiläum legt u:book den Fokus auf Nachhaltigkeit und entwickelte gemeinsam mit den Herstellern der Produkte ein grünes Label. Geräte, die über ein international anerkanntes Nachhaltigkeitszertifikat (EPEAT-Standard Gold) verfügen, werden ab sofort mit dem grünen Nachhaltig-Label gekennzeichnet.

EPEAT bietet eine Möglichkeit zur Bewertung der Umweltauswirkungen von elektronischen Produkten über ihren gesamten Lebenszyklus hinweg, von der Herstellung über die Nutzung bis zur Entsorgung. Die Zertifizierung erfolgt dabei in 3 Klassen: Bronze, Silber und Gold. Bei u:book erhalten nur jene Produkte das grüne Label, die den Kriterien der höchsten Auszeichnung, der EPEAT-Gold-Zertifizierung, entsprechen. Bei u:book verfügen in diesem Verkaufsfenster bereits 32 Geräte – also mehr als die Hälfte – über das neue Label.

What's new?
For its 15th anniversary, u:book is focusing on sustainability. Laptops and convertibles that have an internationally recognised sustainability certificate (EPEAT Standard Gold) are now marked with a green label. The u:book sales period 2023 is marked by an anniversary: we are celebrating 15 years of u:book!
Since 2008, the University of Vienna's service has played a crucial role in providing students and employees of educational institutions with access to high-quality laptops and tablets at affordable prices.
On the occasion of u:book's 15th anniversary, the University of Vienna is now setting a new focus with the theme of sustainability. In line with global efforts to minimise the environmental impact of technical devices, u:book is introducing measures to highlight the sustainability of its products. Together with representatives of the manufacturing companies, the u:book team has worked out a concept to support you in choosing a sustainable product. More information will follow shortly.

The winter semester 2023 sales period will take place from 25.09.-23.10.2023. The products will be published in good time before the start of the sales window on ubook.at/shop/.
